Walkaround Description

This 2013 Kia Soul starts right up, stops straight with good solid brake pedal feel, and steers nice and tight down the road. The 1.6L four-cylinder engine accelerates well even going up hills, and the automatic transmission shifts through the gears without issue. The tires have plenty of life left on them, looking to have well over 75% tread remaining. Inside, the power windows roll up and down properly, windshield wipers and sprayers work, the heater blows hot, the radio works, and turn signals function as they should. It offers a surprising amount of interior space and headroom for a compact daily driver. Cosmetically, this Soul has had a few bumps and bruises over its 242,000 miles. There is a sizable dent on the rear passenger quarter panel, a dent near the rear taillight, missing side trim pieces on the driver's door and windshield pillar, and missing trim along the bottom of the rear bumper. The interior cloth seats are a bit dusty from normal daily use, and the Active ECO dash button doesn't stay pushed in on its own. An oil change reminder sticker shows it was recently due, so a fresh oil change would be a smart baseline service. On the instrument cluster, both the airbag light and the traction control light stay illuminated while driving. Testing the steering wheel cruise control buttons showed that the cruise system was not engaging. Additionally, an OBD-II scan pulled code P0014 related to the camshaft position timing, though the engine runs and drives smoothly without an active check engine light set at the moment.

⚠️ The Bad

Cosmetically, this Soul has had a few bumps and bruises over its 242,000 miles. There is a sizable dent on the rear passenger quarter panel, a dent near the rear taillight, missing side trim pieces on the driver's door and windshield pillar, and missing trim along the bottom of the rear bumper. 💀 The Ugly
