2017 NISSAN Pathfinder
Vehicle Description
Walkaround Description
This 2017 Nissan Pathfinder starts up, stops on a dime, and steers smooth down the road. Out on the highway test drive it tracks straight, brakes with firm stopping power without vibrations, and shifts seamlessly through its CVT transmission. The 4WD system was tested and confirmed working with the lock mode functioning properly. Inside, it offers a roomy 3-row layout seating up to seven people, working power windows, a functional backup camera, working radio, and cold air conditioning. It also has a recent oil change sticker showing it has been maintained. Cosmetically, the body shows honest everyday wear. There is some scuffing on the rear passenger-side bumper corner and light surface scratches along the sides. The black cloth interior is dusty and could use a thorough detail. The tires are also worn down, with the fronts sitting around 35-40% tread and the rears worn down to near the wear bars around 25%. Under the hood, there is a pronounced engine ticking/tapping noise coming from the passenger side, consistent with valvetrain or lifter noise. An OBD-II scan reveals trouble codes P0014 and P0017 related to camshaft position correlation. While the Pathfinder accelerates well and drives down the road, this engine valvetrain issue will require mechanical inspection and repair.
