Vehicle Description
This is not a pretty, "impress your neighbors with it's looks" type vehicle, but these 5.3 motors in these old Chevy's are usually stand tall awesome running motors. It drove in from the auction which says a lot. It has good power and it drives smooth. I don't hear any suspension noise and it shifts through all the gears the way it's supposed to. The windows, radio, cruise, turn signals, wipers, and wiper fluid all work the way they should. The brakes are weak--it feels to me like air in the brake line or a master cylinder and the brake light beeps while in gear. The auction also said there was rust on the frame of the vehicle. To me, it looks like rusty rockers and some rust on the rails that could be reinforced, but it's not falling in or anything. Tires are about 30% all the way around. The exhaust is a louder than it should be and I saw rust on the muffler, so that would explain that. The driver's side master window switch does not fully function, but it does work on the driver's window. There is a service 4x4 light. A lot of times, Chevy's have actuator problems on their 4x4 system. Overall, it's a good running vehicle that you can put some money into to have a great running people hauler or covered stuff hauler! If you're concerned about the cost of replacing some of these parts, here's an idea of what they might cost. They are not super expensive.
