2013 Ford Focus SE

Good to Go: This is a decent looking car with just a small ding on the passenger side above the wheel. The tires are about 60% to 70% all the way around. The windows, heat, turn signals, wipers, wiper fluid, horn and cruise all work the way they should. It has good power and it drives smooth when it's doing what it's supposed to. I don't hear any suspension noise and the brakes are excellent. It drove home from St. Louis. BUT...

Take a Look at: This car has some issue going on with the shifting patterns, but I don't know exactly what it is. Sometimes, it drives very well and other times, it will ''flare up'' between gears, but it drove home from St Louis. It drove really well last time I drove it, but there have been other times I have driven it that the ''flare'' has been more dramatic and it doesn't shift well at all. The radio is not turning on (although I was pretty sure I was listening to it before). We have dropped the price considerably because we are unsure if this is a big or minor issues. We have had people tell us that was a normal/typical issue for these dual clutch transmissions, and others have thought the transmission is bad. If your wanting to buy this one I would like you to assume the worse and if it turns out to be minor then its a big WIN for you! Please bring a trailer to be safe, but its your call. Also, don't ask me if I will take less because I am already it selling it for less than half of what I bought it for. Yes, I KNOW it has issues, BUT I also know that a 144k mile, fuel efficient car will be worth fixing if you have the ability to do it yourself (not so much if you have to take it to a shop and pay their markups). Would make a good summer project for someone.
