Good to Go: Overall, this is a good looking truck with just a few body issues. We replaced 8 spark plugs and valve cover gaskets on both sides because it had an oil leak and misfires when we purchased it. The 4x4 engages. It's a clean truck and the radio, turn signals, wipers windows, heat and horn all do as they should. Windows all function and the exhaust sounds good. The suspension sounds good and the brakes work well. Since we did the motor repairs, it as working out some kinks and it seems to be running much better! It has good power and it shifts through all the gears the way it should.
Take a Look at: This is a truck that still needs work! It is not ready to drive home! We are not sure the extent of its needs. It has a pretty decent vibration at higher (45+) speeds. Matt thinks it's the 2 front wheel bearings. The passenger side one needs replaced immediately and the driver's side one needs to be done soon. There appears to be an old control arm in the back of the truck, so that was probably recently replaced. We are still looking at addressing this, but as of now, it is not done. It was pulling some misfire codes which is why we did the motor work. It's better but still not fixed all the way. Even after the plug and gasket replacement, it is still pulling some random misfire codes. We did not replace engine coils, so it may be as simple as that or it may go deeper. The brake booster is unplugged and its missing an oil cap. Because of the suspension and the misfires, test drives will be severely limited and it is recommended that you bring a trailer to get it home unless you are local.
